IMMIGRATION SERVICES
This is the first step to resettle in a new country...a procedure that demands professional handling of all immigration matters and other complications.

 
 
  • Assessment of client's education (academic and professional), professional skills/ training and experience for Permanent Residency in the country of immigration and advise the client about the immigration laws prevalent at that time.
  • Assisting the client in preparation of case for immigration.
    Reviewing and identifying for submission to the relevant Visa Office of all the required documents and supporting evidence.
  • Submitting the complete case with supporting documentation and evidence along with the WWICS Submission Report to the processing Visa Office.
  • Assisting the client in the preparation for the interview at Visa Processing Post through various counseling sessions, both at the branch level and the Head Office level.
  • Multi-stage counseling of the client when they receive File #, Interview, Medical, Landing Papers and on other immigration matters, when required.
  • Keeping in touch with the Visa Office and handling all visa correspondence with the Visa Office, pertaining to the client's case.
  • Monitoring the client's case throughout the processing, so as to ensure the issuance of visa in timely fashion.
  • Affecting all additional, written and/or verbal representations to the Processing Visa Office and related authorities and other agencies, as deemed necessary by the company.
  • Faithfully advising the client about the mandatory requirements by the Visa Office with respect to the client's case.
  • Adopting ways to save time and finances by taking pre-emptive measures for possible problem areas.
  • Assisting clients in assessment/evaluation of their qualification from the professional bodies and/or educational institutions in the country of immigration.

POST LANDING SERVICES IN CANADA


The following post landing services are provided by GPS Canada to our Gold Package clients landing either at Toronto-Ontario or at Edmonton-Alberta. These services are not available at any other place in Canada. So the Gold Package clients plan to land at either of these two places to avail post landing services.

(a) Reception & Pick-Up at Toronto & Edmonton Airports for clients booking Guest House Accommodation: Our Property Manager at Mississauga provides this service, arranged in advance by GPS Canada. We provide the name and mobile number of the person responsible to provide the airport pick-up service to the clients who books guest house accommodation at Mississauga and ask the clients landing at Edmonton to hire taxi to reach the booked guest house at Edmonton and later claim taxi fare refund.

(b) Refund of Taxi Fare to Clients Staying in Self Arranged Accommodation in Lieu of Airport Pick-Up: Airport pick-up service is not available to Gold Package clients landing at Toronto or Edmonton without booking guest house accommodation i.e if they have their own arrangement. As compensation in lieu of the airport pick-up, refund of one taxi-fare, either actuals or CAD $ 30, whichever is less, is admissible to these clients.

(c) Guest House Accommodation: Guest House Accommodation may be booked by the Gold Package clients well in advance of their landing at Mississauga (Toronto) or Edmonton (Alberta). Normally an advance notice of 45 days is required for arranging accommodation in guest houses.

(d) Services for Immediate Social Needs: GPS staff assists our clients to get immediate social needs like applying for SIN (Social Insurance Number) Card, opening of Bank Account, applying for Driving License, applying for Health Insurance for first three months through private companies at Mississauga and for government health insurance at Edmonton.

(e) Counseling Sessions by Employment Counselor & Job Developer: GPS Employment Counselor & Job Developer reviews resume of the clients and provide an Action Plan to clients after they attend the Employment Readiness Course. If required goals listed in the action plan will be re-defined depending upon the availability of jobs suiting clients’ profile. Clients will also be counseled to amend their resume to suit the requirements of the available jobs.

(f) Assistance in Job Search : GPS Counselor takes stock of the job search efforts undertaken by our clients, especially for the short listed jobs available in GPS Website and assists clients in early placement by providing them the available job leads or directing the clients to other placement agencies with which GPS has tie-ups for placement of our clients.

(g) Time Bound Settlement Plan for Placement & other Social Needs &: GPS Canada endeavors to settle our Gold Package clients within two weeks of their landing at Toronto or Edmonton. With assistance and our job leads, most of our clients are able to join their first temporary or transitional job within 2 – 3 weeks of landing in Canada. To derive maximum benefit from our services, our clients attend the Employment Readiness Course, forward their updated resume in the standard format as discussed during ERC sessions, forward move plan i.e. name of airline, flight number, date and time of landing at Toronto or Edmonton and requirement of guest house accommodation at least 35 days in advance of their departure from their native country.
